Hi.
Jun 20, 2012 Same Problem Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I have Seagate External Hard Drive, which I have been using with Windows computer, but recently I bought a MAC computer, I downloaded NTFS mounter, it was working at first but after I rebooted the computer, my hard drive does not work on neither of my computers. Or it was not setup correctly (e.g. By not using mdadm -build.), or a wrong device is tried to be mounted, or the partition table is corrupt (partition is smaller than NTFS), or the NTFS boot sector is corrupt (NTFS size is not valid). Failed to mount '/dev/rdisk1s1': Invalid argument The device '/dev/rdisk1s1' doesn't seem to have a valid NTFS.

I have an external harddrive which has worked before but a half year ago it doesn't work. When I connect it to a PC I can see there are 170 GB space taken and 300 GB free, but I can't see any files. And when I connect it to my Mac Pro Mountain Lion osx I get this message:
Tuxera NTFS
Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk1s1
at /Volumes/Iomega_HDD because the following problem occurred:
Aligned I/O enabled.
CBCIO enabled.
Failed to read vcn 0xc: Input/output error

NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
